Limassol joins ICTP as destination member

The International Council of Tourism Partners (ICTP) announced that the Limassol Tourism Board of Cyprus has joined as a destination member.  The aim of the Limassol Tourism Development and Promotion Company Ltd. is to promote the further development of the basic and tourist infrastructure of the Limassol region, a year-round destination of Cyprus, and to market the area as a distinct cosmopolitan seaside destination with a unique identity, based on its rich history and culture, its special characteristics including the fact that it is centrally located so as to be able to visit any other city of Cyprus, as well as the Troodos mountains within less than an hour, and the wide variety of options available for tourists including: enjoying the sun and sea, sports, culture, sightseeing, cycling, bird watching, spa services, mini cruises to nearby destinations, rural tourism, nature trails, Byzantine churches routes, wine routes, and much more.

As the easternmost country of the European Union and at the crossroads of three continents, Cyprus is a perfect place for conferences, exhibitions, corporate events, and incentive travel programs.

Other than its convenient geographical position, the exquisite natural beauty and enviable climate make the Limassol region a welcoming choice. In addition to the conference centers, many four- and five-star hotels along the beach provide a range of purpose-built facilities catering to all types of meetings, from small seminars of just a few people to full-scale conventions of over a thousand

ICTP Chairman Juergen T.
