Hilton to triple operating assets by 2012

Hilton Worldwide has signed a management agreement with Eros Resorts & Hotels Ltd, a company of Eros Group to manage two new properties in New Delhi’s fast-growing business district of Mayur Vihar. The agreement will see Hilton Worldwide’s fourth Hilton Hotel & Resorts property in India, and the introduction of the first DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in India. The properties are part of a twin-tower conversion project strategically located in India’s capital city. Hilton New Delhi Mayur Vihar is scheduled to open within the next few months. The other building which is currently operating as an unbranded hotel will officially open as DoubleTree by Hilton New Delhi - Mayur Vihar soon.

“Hilton Worldwide is one of the fastest-growing hotel companies in terms of deals signed globally. For 2010, we achieved a global pipeline that included 868 hotels and more than 138,000 rooms worldwide, making this one of the largest pipelines in our history and in the industry,” said Christopher J. Nassetta, President and CEO, Hilton Worldwide.

He added, “We are focusing a significant amount of our development efforts in the Asia Pacific region - with 112 hotels and 32,916 rooms in the pipeline. We foresee phenomenal opportunities in India.
