Hilton introduces Waldorf Astoria to south-east Asia
Hilton has signed a management agreement with Magnolia Finest Corporation to introduce the first Waldorf Astoria hotel in south-east Asia, and Hilton Worldwide’s ninth property in Thailand.
The 170-room Waldorf Astoria Bangkok is scheduled to open in 2015.
The Waldorf Astoria Bangkok is located along Ratchadamri Road, a central location that is ideal for guests wanting to visit some of the city’s finest dining places, entertainment venues, popular shopping complexes such as Central World and Siam Paragon.
Towering 60-storeys above the city and built as a mixed-used development, Waldorf Astoria Bangkok will offer guests fine culinary experiences at its all-day dining restaurant, two specialty restaurants, two bars and lounge.
Sitting between the Chit Lom and Ratchadamri BTS stations, the hotel will have 170 guest rooms (including 34 suites) sized at a minimum of 50 square-meters, making them one of the largest hotel rooms in Bangkok.
The hotel will have two spacious ballrooms and nine meeting rooms, a fitness center and spa, as well as an outdoor pool.
Andrew Clough, senior vice president, development, Middle East & Asia Pacific, Hilton Worldwide, said: “Bangkok is a truly international and sophisticated city, and we are pleased to be working with an established partner like Magnolia Finest Corporation Limited in showcasing our famous luxury brand for the first time in Southeast Asia, in this major gateway city.”
