GENERATOR APPOINTS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER XAVIER MUFRAGGI

Generator announces the appointment of Xavier Mufraggi as Chief Executive Officer. Xavier joins the company as it enters its next phase of international growth, including three new openings on the horizon, and the renovation of flagship houses throughout 2026 and 2027 in London, Paris, Dublin, and Hamburg.

With ambitions to double its footprint by 2030, Generator will accelerate growth through the acquisition of centrally located four-star hotels, including Novotel London Greenwich, alongside the adaptive reuse of offices, warehouses and government buildings. Xavier’s appointment comes as Generator continues to deliver on its mission to keep city travel affordable, through design-led spaces rooted in local culture and genuine human connection.

With more than two decades of international leadership experience, Xavier has built a career transforming businesses into profitable growth engines. He became a Chief Executive Officer for the first time at age 31, leading Club Med’s North America & Caribbean division for 10 years. During his time at Club Med, he led the company through a remarkable turnaround, from decade of losses to become one of the fastest growing and most profitable markets.

Over the course of his career, Xavier Mufraggi has led businesses across hospitality, private equity and consumer brands, holding leadership roles in marketing, commercial and product development at Kraft Foods; serving as Global Managing Director for Fosun Group; and Chief Executive Officer of YPO, the world’s largest CEO peer network, with more than 37,000 members across 150 countries and Club Med as CEO for North America and EMEA markets.

Xavier joins Generator following Brookfield’s acquisition of the company in 2025. Backed by one of the world’s leading long-term investors in hospitality and real estate, Generator is accelerating its vision for growth while continuing to invest in the experiences that have made the brand distinctive. Generator has redefined affordable lifestyle hospitality by creating vibrant spaces where travellers connect with local culture, communities and one another. Under Xavier’s leadership, the company will continue to expand into new destinations across Europe while investing in the guest experience across its portfolio. As Generator grows, it remains committed to the belief that hospitality is fundamentally human - adding the host back into hospitality, whilst technology continues to transform the industry.

“Generator has always stood for something much bigger than affordable accommodation,” said Xavier Mufraggi, Chief Executive Officer of Generator. “Its mission to keep city travel affordable while creating places that reflect the culture and character of each destination is what drew me to the business. We also want to become the leading hospitality company focused on accelerated career opportunities for young diverse talent, those with a strong work ethic and a passion for people.”

“Xavier is a proven international leader with an exceptional track record of growing hospitality businesses, while staying true to what makes them distinctive,” said Lauren Okada Young, Managing Director, Brookfield. “His commercial expertise, entrepreneurial mindset and people-first leadership make him the ideal person to lead Generator through its next phase of growth.”

As Generator expands into new cities and strengthens its presence across Europe and beyond, the company remains focused on delivering affordable, design-led hospitality experiences rooted in local culture, community and genuine human connection.
