Extra ScotRail trains for Scotland games

ScotRail has announced it will provide extra trains to help football fans attending Scotland’s upcoming games against Serbia and Macedonia at Hampden Park.

A total of 19 additional trains will run between Glasgow Central and Mount Florida before and after the matches, on Saturday and at 20.00 on Tuesday respectively.

There will also be extra carriages on some existing services – including on selected trains linking Aberdeen, Edinburgh, and Carlisle (via Dumfries) with Glasgow, as well as on the Cathcart Circle.

ScotRail advised that trains will be busy before and after both games, so customers should allow plenty of time for their journeys and purchase tickets in advance.

Queuing systems will be in place at key stations, with additional staff on hand to direct customers towards the next available trains.
