Experience Concierge launches at Al Wadi Desert, Ras Al Khaimah

Al Wadi Desert, Ras Al Khaimah, has launched the Experience Concierge, a ground-breaking new service at the 500-hectare Al Wadi Nature Reserve, reports Phil Blizzard from Dubai.

Aimed at revolutionising the desert travel experience the ‘dune-based’ concierge will offer a wide range of recreational activities at this Ritz-Carlton Partner Hotel.

The activities range from adventure to relaxation and that can include scintillating flavours with destination dining.

At the same time, Ritz Kids have their own exciting programme.

Amit Arora, general manager at the property, told Breaking Travel News: “The connection to nature is omnipresent at Al Wadi Desert, where guests enjoy a slower pace, an ultimate tranquillity in their villa as well as around the reserve.

“Whether on a bike or walking on the resort’s pathways, we want this resort to offer a perfect spot to enjoy quality time with family in an environment that combines exploration, discovery and relaxation.”

The Experience Concierge engages with guests creating personalised itineraries based on their preferences and interests.

The programme is designed around four key pillars highlighting the essence of desert life and Bedouin culture; the art of falconry, equestrian and camel rides, nature and environment activities, and the Ritz Rangers programme for the younglings.

Guests can explore the wildlife at the hotel’s nature reserve by joining the informative tours and walking trails to learn about the local fauna and flora, plant their own Ghaf tree - the national tree in the UAE - in the pilot heritage forest in the reserve, or attend an interactive falcon show performed daily at the resort’s falcon deck, to immerse in the Bedouins’ ancient lifestyle and learn about their fascinating relationships with the birds of prey.

Additional activities such as an introduction to the thrilling techniques of archery, a catch and release fishing activity at the waterhole and sunset camel hacks or trails in the desert are some of the many recreational activities guests can look forward to during their stay.

For the more adventurous, the extensive range of activities also includes desert adventure, dune bashing, mountain trekking at the nearby Jebel Jais Mountain ending with a spectacular sunset over the dunes and valley of Wadi Khadeija.

Kids can also immerse explore the nature reserve and discover the Bedouin life with Ritz Rangers, the resort’s Kids programme that suggests a range of fun and creative activities at the resort’s own Kids Club.

They can enjoy a mini-falconry class to interact with birds, learn the art of archery, or take a discovery walk with the activity officers to learn the mysteries of the desert.

The Experience Concierge programme ensures guests from all ages with different interests have a breathtaking, memorable stay at the property.
