Exclusive to Ski Safari - Ski Better in 2025 with Free Private Lessons in Norway in January
Ski Safari is convinced that Norway is the best place to progress your skiing and snowboarding and that private lessons are the right way to do it. So we’ve teamed up with three Norwegian resorts - Gausta, Myrkdalen and Voss - to offer free private lessons in January 2025.
When booking a seven night holiday to Gausta, Myrkdalen or Voss on select dates in January 2025, customers will receive one free private lesson per person (100 or 120 minutes) to use as they wish.
Norway Product Manager (and former ski instructor), Andy Hemingway, says: “Many people start out with a few lessons to learn the basics and then never see an instructor again. While the lessons we’re offering can be used to learn to ski or snowboard from scratch, we think existing skiers and boarders will benefit the most from a private lesson tailored to them that can focus on refining their existing skills and allow them to try new techniques too.”
It’s something we’re passionate about here at Ski Safari; helping our customers to get the most out of their ski holidays based on our first-hand experience. With new skills learned, we feel they won’t just have more fun on the snow, they’ll also significantly increase the type of terrain they’re able to access by opening up new parts of the mountain that they wouldn’t have previously felt confident enough to explore.
Andy Hemingway continues: “Norway’s forgiving terrain and snow-sure conditions make it the perfect place to enhance your skills - which could include venturing off-piste for the first time. The country’s excellent English-speaking instructors are some of the best in the world and well-placed to move your skills to the next level.”

Free Private Lessons
Customers will receive one private lesson (120 minutes in Gausta, 100 minutes in Myrkdalen and Voss) per person to use as they choose, with options for all abilities from complete beginners taking their first turns to more adventurous skiers looking to enhance their skills on or off piste.
Mixed ability groups can take individual 1-2-1 lessons, while skiers of similar levels can combine their lesson allowance and receive two free private lessons.
As they are private, these ski school lessons are flexible and tailored to ability. Customers can work on any weaknesses or new skills as they choose: the basics, parallel turns, carving, steeps, off-piste, freestyle or snowboarding.
The free private lesson offer is only available for seven night bookings to Gausta, Myrkdalen and Voss departing on 05, 12, 19 and 26 January 2025. Subject to instructor availability on a first-come first-served basis.
Gausta
One of Norway’s best-kept secrets, Gausta is an up-and-coming ski resort offering truly unique skiing and sightseeing experiences you won’t find anywhere else in the world.
Gausta ski holidays offer everything you’d expect in Norway - exceedingly high levels of service, ski-in ski-out accommodation, terrain for all abilities and an excellent ski school. But it’s perhaps best known for the iconic Gaustatoppen mountain which towers over the resort. You can take a secret train up through the mountain and then ski back down - an experience you’ll never forget.
