Eurostar extends booking horizon for summer holidays

Eurostar passengers are now able to book tickets for travel to Paris, Brussels or Lille even further in advance as Eurostar introduces an extended, summer booking horizon.

Extending the horizon to six months means that travellers can now finalise their summer travel plans up to two months earlier.

The high-speed passenger rail service between the UK and mainland Europe has introduced an extended summer booking horizon following feedback from holidaymakers who value the flexibility to plan their summer holidays further in advance.

From today, tickets are now on sale for travel to Paris, Brussels and Lille up to June 7th.

By March 4th the remainder of the summer travel period, up to August 31st, will be available to book.

Eurostar’s popular services to Disneyland Paris and Avignon as well as its ski services to the French and Swiss Alps will continue to enjoy a sales period of up to nine months in advance of the travel date.

Nick Mercer, commercial director, Eurostar said: “Our customers tell us they prefer the flexibility to book their summer trips further in advance as they want to compare our prices against those of the airlines.

“Short haul flights typically go on sale earlier and by extending our summer booking horizon we are offering holidaymakers more scope to make the switch from air to high-speed rail.”
