easyJet launches eight new winter routes

easyJet, the UK’s largest and best value airline, is launching eight new routes for winter 2010.

The flights which depart from Manchester, Liverpool, London Gatwick and Bristol are now on sale with lead fares starting at £25.99 (one-way inc taxes) and include six exciting destinations.

For all those looking to don their skis and hit the slopes easyJet is adding routes to Lyon from Bristol and Liverpool, and to Basle from Edinburgh. And for those looking for a long weekend city break, passengers will now be able to fly to Hamburg, Gothenburg and Amsterdam from Manchester and to Gothenburg and Zagreb from Gatwick. The routes to Gothenburg in Sweden and to Zagreb in Croatia are both new destination points for easyJet from the UK.

Paul Simmons, easyJet’s UK general manager, comments: “easyJet’s priority is to provide passengers with the widest range of destinations to the most convenient airports, with the lowest fares and no hidden charges.

“Whether passengers are looking for an adventure on the slopes or a spot of winter sun our new routes offer something for everyone.”

73,000 winter flights are now on sale, enabling passengers to get in early and secure the best low fares with 11.5 million seats available for travel from 31 October through to March 2011.

easyJet has more than 80 additional routes this winter compared to last winter offering passengers looking to ‘get their skis’ on and book winter holidays the most comprehensive choice of low fare destinations in the airline’s 15 year history.

In less than 15 years easyJet has become Europe’s Number 1 transport network, operating on 45 of Europe’s top 100 routes from 19 bases across 28 countries, with its fleet of 182 aircraft.
