Dutch Railways introduce toilet bags

As part of a first-aid drive, Dutch National Railways is introducing disposable bags for passengers who need the bathroom on commuter trains that do not have them, according to reports.

A spokesperson for Dutch National Railways told the BBC that the bags might would be installed on those trains that did not have toilets and were for use in emergencies such as power failures.

The bags, which have a plastic top, contain a highly absorbent material that changes urine into a gel-like mixture. The bags can then be sealed and thrown into trash.
