Cosmos Holidays announces its 4000th Croatia customer
The wide choice of flights from 3 UK airports and different styles of accommodation appeals to those wanting weekend breaks, beach stays or twin- centre holidays to explore the area.
Phil Boggan, Cosmos’ Director of Product commented: “Since the launch of summer ‘12, there has been incredible growth as we have expanded and diversified the programme to meet demand. We have broadened our product range to include more of the Croatian islands, lesser known resorts of Budva and Becici in Montenegro, and expanded the choice of hotels in the most popular resorts along the Dalmatian Coast. Our sales to Croatia have quadrupled year-on-year as we benefit from the key changes to our flying programme as well as the wider variety of hotels and apartments we have introduced to cater for couples, families and weekenders.”
Sometimes known as the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’, visitors to Dubrovnik are greeted by the clear blue crystal waters and a stunning rocky coastline. Only 2.5 hours flying time from the UK, this stunning area of natural beauty is close enough for a weekend city break but offers enough history, diverse landscape and culinary delights to fill a 3 week adventure!
Dubrovnik’s ancient city walls which were constructed between the 12th and 17th centuries offer the best view point to see the whole town with its bright orange rooftops typical of the region. Or by night, the real heart and soul of the city truly shines through and visitors can enjoy the local food, wine and music with so many different tastes catered for. With so many European influences, it is not surprising how many different cuisines are on offer but Italian is very popular with gelato, pizza, pasta widely available. Families can head to the museum and fortress on Mount Srd, take the kids to visit the aquarium or the natural history museum.
After the city, visitors can head out to the picturesque outlying islands of Lokrum, Lopud, Mijet - all easily achievable in a day! Enjoy a twin-centre package holiday in Dubrovnik as well as Montenegro to enjoy the beautiful sandy beaches.
