CARNIVAL PRESENTS THE CARNIVAL DESTINY ITS NEWEST SHIP - THE FIRST OF THE NEXT-GENERATION “ACE CLASS

Carnival Cruise Line marked a significant milestone with the traditional steel-cutting ceremony for its newest ship, the Carnival Destiny , which will arrive in the summer of 2029 as the first of three ships in its next generation, officially dubbed the “Ace Class.” The event, held at the Fincantieri shipyard, revealed the ship’s name and featured a 3D hologram that offered a first glimpse into the future of Carnival cruising.

Carnival’s collaboration with Fincantieri, a world leader in shipbuilding, dates back more than 30 years to the original Carnival Destiny, which ushered in a new era by becoming the world’s largest cruise ship at the time. Today, that legacy continues with a class designed to redefine the passenger experience.

The Carnival Destiny will offer a new way to experience the ocean from the ship, becoming the most visually expansive megaship sailing the seas. It will feature an unprecedented number of balcony and ocean-view staterooms, a redesigned lanai deck, and over 4.5 acres of glass, including expansive multi-story glass walls, providing panoramic views throughout the ship. Together, these elements will allow for ocean views from more locations on board, keeping the ocean in view and redefining how passengers connect with the sea.

The Carnival Destiny will also offer a radical change in how passengers interact onboard. More than 70% of its spaces and attractions will be entirely new concepts for Carnival, encompassing revamped dining experiences, state-of-the-art bars and lounges, immersive entertainment, and vibrant outdoor spaces.

“The Carnival Destiny builds on a legacy that has already transformed the world of cruising in the past and reinvents what guests can experience at sea,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. “With this ship, we are once again enhancing the guest experience by creating a vessel that conveys a greater sense of spaciousness while helping guests feel more connected and, ultimately, have more fun.”

Carnival Destiny will sail to destinations in Carnival’s Paradise Collection, the cruise industry’s largest offering of exclusive destinations in the Caribbean, the Bahamas, and Mexico. Additional details about Carnival Destiny’s features and experiences will be released later this year, and the ship is scheduled for delivery in summer 2029. Two more Ace Class ships are planned for launch in 2031 and 2033.
