FAA Proposed Fine Not Related To Security Checkpoints

FORT WORTH, Texas - American Airlines said today a proposed fine announced by the FAA on July 31, 2001, covered alleged procedural failures covering checked baggage and not failures at the security checkpoints.


In its public announcement of the proposed fine, the FAA said, “Upon notification, American took immediate corrective action at the airports where violations were found.”
