Dillard`s Chooses Sabre for Enhanced Travel Web Site.

Sabre is working with Dillard`s department stores to enhance the online travel bookings system at dillards.com.
Dillard`s travel services unit says it anticipates a 200% surge in online travel bookings within one year of implementation, and plans to support the launch of its new travel section at dillards.com with an aggressive marketing campaign. According to PhoCusWright, a leading Internet travel intelligence company, overall U.S. online travel sales are expected to reach $34 billion by 2003, up from $14.5 billion in 2000. The upgraded Web site will be powered by Sabre .ResSM, a suite of products designed to give travel suppliers a competitive entrance into the fast-growing online travel distribution market.

The Dillard`s travel Web site has provided the ability for travelers to purchase air tickets, arrange car rental and book hotel rooms from more than 450 airlines, 50 car rental companies and 50,000 hotel properties worldwide using the Sabre system. With the upgrade to Sabre .Res, Dillard`s customers now gain access to an expanded line of features when booking travel.

Starting in the first quarter of 2002, Dillard`s will use Sabre .Res to interface its negotiated fare rates with regularly published fares. The new system will give Dillard`s the ability to negotiate corporate discounts with hotels, car rental companies and airlines and seamlessly pass these savings onto the Dillard`s traveler through a single `select fares` screen.
