Continental Airlines Introduces New Tools, Enhancements to Website

Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL and CAL.A) today introduced new productivity tools and enhancements to its award-winning website at www.continental.com
The Continental timetable now can be downloaded to a PC or Palm VII device. Information on downloading the timetable is located in the Business Travel Center on the website. Once downloaded, customers will receive information on the locations of Continental Ticket Offices and Presidents Clubs, along with up-to-the-minute flight information. Continental also is the first airline to give Palm VII users the ability to check frequent flyer mileage status.


Continental offers new virtual tours on its website of the Boeing 777. Users can tour both BusinessFirst and economy cabins, along with its reclinable seats, individual in-flight entertainment systems and BusinessFirst meal service. A virtual tour of the Continental Presidents Club is also available on the website.


Another new feature on the Continental website is flight status notification. Customers can check a Continental Airlines or Continental Express flight by going to www.continental.com and inputting the flight number, departure/arrival city and date. By inputting an email address, customers can receive notification through any device that accepts text message emails, including a pager, cell phone or palm organizer.


Customers who live in the United Kingdom and Canada can now purchase tickets from the website using a credit card with a billing address from that country.

Continental Airlines’ website (www.continental.com or AOL keyword: Continental) continues to be top-rated among consumer polls. Recently, the website was named by Forrester PowerRankings as the No. 1 airline site for its high usability and customer service. Continental and its online agency NOVO also won the Association of National Advertisers’ CASIE Award, which honors the most effective advertising and marketing on the Internet.
