Singapore Airlines announce introduction of new A330-300 routes

Singapore Airlines have announced the introduction of its new twin engine wide body airbus A330-300 aircraft on Australian and Japanese routes from the end of March 2009.The new A330-300’s have started arriving at Singapore Airlines already. They will be used to complete pilot conversions before operating some short sectors between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur and Singapore and Jakarta from late February.

Full service will commence from March 30th 2009 coinciding with the 25th anniversary of flight running between Singapore and Brisbane which will be the first route.

Subsequent routes will include the take over from the B777 to the A330 on the daily service to Nagoya, Japan and by 2010 the B777 to Osaka, Japan as well.

The Aircraft is designed to accommodate 285 in Economy Class and Business.

A specially designed new business class seat that has been designed for regional and medium haul flights will be unveiled in January.
