Six Senses plots UK debut at Canary Wharf

Six Senses has chosen the dramatic Pan Peninsula residential development in the heart of London’s Canary Wharf as the site for the first Six Senses Spa in the UK.

Opening early February 2009, the Six Senses Spa at Pan Peninsula introduces a fresh interpretation of the urban spa, abounding with natural light and a vast outdoor terrace. Architectural finishes include the warmth of natural stone, wood and exotic ecologically sourced materials. The spa offers a comprehensive range of Six Senses signature inspired treatments and rejuvenating Asian therapies combined with holistic lifestyle guidance. The spa menu ranges from single treatments to half and full day sensory journeys.

In addition to the Six Senses beauty and pampering treatments, a unique urban spa concept has been incorporated to cater for guests who have limited time. The Express Retreat is a circular lounge where treatments such as de-stress reflexology, Indian head massage and express manicure and pedicure treatments are offered. There is a separate relaxation room with reclining loungers called Tranquility.

The Inner Spa Sanctuary comprises eight treatment rooms including two for couples, equipped for exfoliations, body wraps and traditional Thai therapies complemented by a luxurious bio-thermal circuit which includes a chromotherapy steam cabin, crystal laconium, traditional dry sauna, sensory shower and a hydrotherapy pool. Treatments are delivered by internationally trained therapists, using naturally derived and ethically produced spa products that endorse the Six Senses commitment to minimizing their environmental foot-print.

The Six Senses Spa at Pan Peninsula is an urban sanctuary, where not only Pan Peninsula’s residents but also those living and working in the Canary Wharf area can escape to. It is also a welcome haven for the many Londoners who have come to know Six Senses Spas from their travels abroad.

The opening of the Six Senses Spa at Pan Peninsula brings the number of Six Senses Spas in Europe to seven. To ensure an integrated spa experience, each Six Senses Spa provides guests with access to ongoing well-being care through spa treatments, spa products, lifestyle consultations and programmes, plus simple and effective take-home advice.
