Etihad holidays launches summer brochure

Etihad Holidays, a division of Etihad Airways, has unveiled its new summer 2006 holiday programme, featuring more than 300 apartments and hotels in 82 destinations, in Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North America. Available in both English and Arabic, the new brochure is 40 percent larger than the previous year’s edition, and offers a wealth of long and short breaks, cruises, spas, fly-drives, tours and excursions.

Etihad Holidays is also promoting its ‘lowest price guarantee’ for Guests who find an identical holiday available at a better price. If this situation occurs, Etihad Holidays will match or beat the competitor’s price.

“The Etihad Holidays UAE summer Outbound brochure offers Guests great value getaways to hotels ranging from simple family run hotels to luxurious 5* deluxe hotels, operated by the world’s leading hotel chains. We have drawn upon a wealth of travel industry experience, to deliver a truly innovative selection of holidays to suit all tastes and budgets,” said Nick Wood, general manager at Etihad Holidays, speaking at the Dubai press conference for the launch of the new brochure.

Many of the highlights from the new brochure include holiday destinations which have been launched as a result of Etihad Airways’ rapidly expanding global network.

These include exciting holiday options such as tailor-made safaris in South Africa, breaks to the UK’s Scenic Lake District and helicopter tours at Niagara Falls in Canada. Etihad Holidays will also stand out from the competition by displaying the price of each holiday on the brochure page.

Maintaining its commitment to Arabic-speaking Guests, Etihad has also launched holidays to perfectly suit that market. So whether it is a visit to Little Arabia in Bangkok, a few days in London’s bustling Edgware Road community, or a health and well being break at Champney’s health and spa resort near London, there is an array of possibilities.

“One of the most popular holiday packages we are offering will be safaris to South Africa. Etihad Holidays will not only provide flights and accommodation, but we have also carefully selected hotels that offer Arabic speaking staff and Halal cuisine for Muslim Guests,” continued Wood.

Endorsing Etihad’s belief in innovation, Etihad Holidays’ new outbound brochure has a range of holidays featuring some of the world’s most exciting destinations and activities. New additions include tours in Canada, the Disney Resort in Paris, Philippine beach-breaks, and shopping in Morocco.

Etihad Holidays also has a great selection of bonus offers such as a free nights’ accommodation when booking a specified number of nights, complimentary room upgrades, transfer upgrade options and free stays for children.

Holidays are based on Etihad Airways flights from Abu Dhabi with complimentary luxury coach transfers and excellent value upgrade offers to Pearl and Diamond zones, inclusive of complimentary limousine transfers.

In its endeavour to provide the best in quality and service, Etihad Holidays works closely with suppliers to offer the best value for money to its Guests. This includes enticing promotions such as early booking discounts to Guests who book and pay 30 days before departure.

‘We have researched all of our new destinations and packages extensively to make sure we cater for all of our Guests’ tastes. Individuals, couples and families from all nationalities are increasingly looking to take a number of short breaks throughout the year, rather than one long holiday in the summer, and the Etihad Holidays 2006 summer brochure has something for everyone, whatever the taste or time of year,’ concluded Wood.

Etihad Holidays has been promoting the new brochure across the UAE through a series of road shows. The events in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Ajman give travel agents and trade the opportunity to find out more about the brochure and meet the Etihad Holidays team.

Etihad Holidays also recently launched its new ‘Stopover’ programme which is available throughout the Etihad network. It is designed for Guests requiring accommodation, transfers or car rental at their destination or en-route.

A new ‘in-bound’ programme has also been launched offering a wide range of short break and holiday options for Guests wishing to visit Abu Dhabi, the UAE and Oman.

The new brochures will also be promoted at the forthcoming Arabian Travel Market (ATM) between 2-5 May. Etihad Holidays, as well as Etihad Airways and Etihad Crystal Cargo, will be exhibiting at the event at Dubai’s World Trade Centre.
