Sabre inks Russian deal

Russian aviation start-up Air Management Group (AMG) has contracted with Sabre Airline Solutions to help operate its new Moscow-based air taxi services under the “DEXTER” brand.

DEXTER is operating light aircraft configured with four or six comfortable seats specially designed for frequent business travellers.

“The idea is to offer business travellers an uninterrupted, efficient, safe and quick point-to-point transport service between cities where direct air connection is congested, irregular or simply does not exist at all,” said Evgeny Andrachnikov Chairman of the board of AMG.

“We are also selling on the concept of flexibility, so our operational and decision-support technology needed to be able to help us with this.”

DEXTER is using the Sabre Rocade Airline Operations suite of products in order to manage its growing fleet of 250 aircraft that make more than 1500 departures a day in and around Russia. These provide a complete solution for efficient and flexible fleet and crew planning, and operations control.
Murray Smyth, Sabre Airline Solutions’ senior vice-president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said there was growing interest across Europe in the idea of small, comfortable air-taxi services aimed exclusively at the business traveller.
