New York Times prints ‘T: Holiday’

The New York Times is adding “T: Holiday” to its magazine lineup on December 4. Circulated in the U.S. inside the Sunday New York Times it will feature luxury travel destinations in its pages.The cover will feature the actress Scarlett Johansson, as profiled by contributing writer Lynn Hirschberg.

“‘T: Holiday’ is a celebration in words and pictures of the holiday season,” said Stefano Tonchi, editor for T: The New York Times Style Magazine. “The magazine will contain compelling photography and smart, sophisticated editorial that exemplifies how our lives can be stylishly lived and shared with others during the holidays.”

“T: Holiday” will be published annually. The original content will include articles and photography that focus on celebrating the December holidays from entertaining and one-of-a-kind gifts to tips on how to spend your holiday leisure time, find luxurious travel destinations and more.

“‘T: Holiday’ will appeal to consumers with interest in stylish holiday entertaining and who want information about the best gifts, spas and travel destinations and where to find them,” said Jyll Holzman, senior vice president of advertising for The New York Times. “For our advertisers, this is a wonderful and new opportunity to reach consumers with discerning tastes during the important December shopping season.”

Each annual issue of “T: Holiday” will also include:

—“The Re-Mix” - Updates on what to give to family, friends, children and charities; appealing travel destinations and home entertaining how-to tips.

—“The Get” - A guide to everything beautiful from the best catalogs to the latest shops and boutiques.

—“The Gift Guide” - A digest of luxury and high-end items that begin with the letter “T” - from timepieces to town houses to ties, tea sets and more.

—“The Talk” - Features and columns from Times staff writers and guest contributors.

To promote “T: Holiday,” Saks Fifth Avenue’s New York flagship store will feature the Magazine in its holiday window display to be unveiled on November 21, and Saks will hold a V.I.P. rooftop party at Rockefeller Center. In addition, customers shopping at Saks Fifth Avenue on that day will receive advance copies of “T: Holiday.”

“T: Holiday” has a total of 106 advertising pages from marketers in top categories such as fashion, beauty, jewelry, mass retail, home furnishings, technology, packaged goods and more.

The New York Times Style Magazine, published 14 times per year, showcases the latest trends in men’s and women’s fashion, design, living, beauty, travel and entertaining.
