America West Announces New Service

America West Airlines , the
nation’s second largest low-cost airline, announces new service between
its Las Vegas hub and Monterey, Calif., which will begin on June 17, 2005.
With this new service, the airline will operate 154 daily departures and
serve 62 nonstop destinations from Las Vegas McCarran International
Airport, more than any other carrier. “We’re pleased to enhance our service to customers in the Central
California Coast,” said Dion Flannery, vice president, scheduling and
route planning. “By offering our loyal Monterey passengers access to our
Las Vegas hub, we’re giving them both nonstop flights to one of the
country’s most popular destinations and additional connecting options in
the America West network, which spans North America.”

America West already offers passengers in Monterey two roundtrip flights a
day to its largest hub in Phoenix, which operates 336 daily departures to
93 nonstop destinations.

America West Express, operated by Mesa Airlines, will provide the new
service utilizing the 86-seat Canadair Regional Jet 900 (CRJ900).
