Web Award for Crown Blue Line

Crown Blue Line, market leader in inland waterways boating holidays, has kick-started 2005 with a double triumph after achieving a record number of holiday bookings and scooping a prestigious award at the London Boat Show this month [6-16 January 2005].

ÊThe new three-cabin ‘Calypso’ cruiser, one of 40 new boats designed and built by Crown Blue Line at Wroxham and joining their fleet on rivers and canals in France this year, drew in the crowds and enticed many show-goers to book a waterways holiday on the spot.

Boosting the bookings alongside the new-look cruiser was the company’s new-look web site, which gained Crown Blue Line one of thirteen Marine Industry Web Awards at the show out of over 125 nominations.

Marketing manager Alexandra Brice said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have won an award for our web site. We’ve included a lot of information on our boats, destinations, bases, routes and special offers and have worked hard to make the site as easy to navigate as our boats are!

“Our luxurious new cruisers, new short breaks, bases and one-way holidays are now simple to research and book on line and our special web site offers mean that there are some great deals available. Boating holidays offer holidaymakers the opportunity to explore the sights and the countryside independently - either at home or overseas - and I’m happy to say that more and more people are now showing an interest in taking a holiday with a real difference.”
