Monterey Marriott Concierge Receives High Honor

The Monterey Marriott
announced today the elite Clefs d’Or membership bestowed upon Hotel
Concierge Marie Lupo. An international organization with approximately 400
members in the United States, the Clefs d’Or presents this distinguished
honor to a concierge with a minimum of five years experience, who
demonstrates vast knowledge of the immediate and surrounding areas in
which they serve. Additional qualifications include: active membership in a local concierge
association, two Le Clefs d’Or sponsors, a recommendation letter from the
hotel general manager and a successful score on the Le Clefs d’Or
examination. Once completed, the concierge is reviewed by the membership
committee for acceptance. Successful applicants receive two gold key
pendants to be worn on each lapel symbolizing Le Clefs d’Or accreditation.

“We salute Marie Lupo for her outstanding service and obtaining such a
distinguished honor,” said Rene Boskoff, general manager of the Monterey
Marriott. “Our concierge is the welcoming committee for our hotel and we
are honored to have Marie greet and serve our guests daily.”

Ms. Lupo began her career in 1994 with Marriott Hotels & Resorts. She
spent two of her ten-year career with The Camelback Inn, A JW Marriott
Resort and Spa in Scottsdale, Ariz., and the remainder in her current
position at the Monterey Marriott. Born and raised in Monterey, Ms. Lupo
knows first-hand the treasures within and around the city. (For a photo of
