Hon. McKeeva Bush gives uplifting speech

There are reports from his year’s Annual Cayman Tourism Conference that Minister of Tourism, the Hon. McKeeva Bush gave an inspiring speech which summarised the mood of the conference perfectly. In speaking of the recent Hurricane activity Hon. McKeeva said, “There can be no doubt that the passage of Hurricane Ivan through these islands has been - and will be for most of us - an experience of a lifetime.” He went on, “Hurricane Ivan tried to scrape Grand Cayman’s tourism industry, and everything else on the island, into the sea. Two months and one week later, we have cruise ship passengers back on our shores and we are just days away from welcoming stay-over tourists back. Ladies and gentlemen - this is our moment…

Government has pledged to work towards making the Cayman Islands an even better place to live in than before the storm, Now I ask you to pledge to work with me, the Ministry and the Department of Tourism to make the Islands an even better place for guests to visit.
