St. James’s Club Morgan Bay in St. Lucia is following golf’s hot travelling trend as it invites guests to ‘tee it up’ with the resort’s new complimentary golf program.According to a recent Travel Industry of America study, golfing travellers averaged 2.6 trips over the past year, with 10 percent golfing on six or more trips. One-third went on either two or three golfing trips in the past year (34%). Sixteen percent of travellers who played golf said that golf was the most important reason for taking the trip.
Valid throughout the winter and summer seasons, the new program offers three complimentary rounds of golf for each guest that books a minimum three-night stay or more at the resort. There are no greens fees and transportation to and from the course is included. Guests pay a US$25 per person fee for a mandatory golf cart. Guests are asked to reserve their tee times 24 hours in advance. Additional rounds are offered to guests at the special rate of $65 per person including greens fee, transportation, and golf cart.
Golfers will enjoy the 18-hole golf course at the nearby St. Lucia Golf and Country club. Set in the scenic, rolling hills of Cap Estates, the country club offers panoramic views of both the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. The 6,829 yard, par 71 course is the only 18-hole course on the island.
