At the First Rate Travel Visit London Awards
held at the Natural History Museum last night the Sheraton Park Tower,
Knightsbridge was nominated as Best London Hotel in the Large Hotel
category. The Sheraton Park Tower, part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Luxury
Collection portfolio, was selected as winner for the exceptional service
levels, attention to detail and discreet touches of luxury that
characterise the guest experience. The other hotels nominated in the
Large Hotel category were the Carlton Tower and the Hilton Park Lane.
David Campbell, CEO of Visit London said: “The visitor economy is an
extremely important, and growing, part of London’s economy. This year’s
awards has been bigger and better thanks to the support and
exceptionally high standards of all the entries this year. The winners
can be very proud of themselves as this award really represents an
achievement in the leisure industry and proves that they are setting
standards for their particular sector.”
Anne Scott, Hotel Manager, Sheraton Park Tower, said, “We are absolutely
thrilled to win this award. It is a reflection of the dedication and
hard work of the team here that we have achieved this great accolade.
The spirit of service is deeply rooted at the hotel. Over 50% of
associates have more than 5 years service with us - a statistic that
impressed the judging panel. There is a natural synergy between a core
of loyal, long-serving staff and regular guests who cherish a personal
and detailed level of service. This will remain our absolute focus so
we can continue to attend to our guests needs and innovate new offerings
such as In-room spa or Penthouse Suite Dining.”
Guests staying in the Butler Rooms and Suites on the top three floors
enjoy the special attention of their own butler, providing services such
as packing and unpacking, morning coffee and afternoon tea served in the
rooms, and a complimentary pressing service.
Rated as the best fish restaurant in London by Square Meal for four
consecutive years, hotel guests can also savour the creations of French
Executive Chef, Pascal Proyart at One-O-One Restaurant. The Restaurant
offers the perfect cosmopolitan mix of a superb location, stylish
ambience and excellent cooking, combined with meticulous attention to
detail on the restaurant floor. Mouth watering fillet of sea bass with
caviar and a shallot cream sauce is one of Pascal’s signature dishes.
This year the hotel introduced London’s latest fine dining experience -
a sumptuous Penthouse Dining concept available in the suites on the 17th
floor. In association with One-O-One restaurant, the hotel now offers
some of the most stylish and luxurious venues in London in which to host
a bespoke event, seated at one of the best window tables in the world -
with panoramic views of the London skyline and famous landmarks. At
night the views of the lit up city add to the intimate ambience of an
exclusive dining salon seventeen floors up.
In 2003 a unique in-room spa service was launched at the hotel, to
pamper guests in body and mind - all without having to leave the comfort
or privacy of their hotel room - or endure the inconvenience of juggling
their precious time to accommodate a salon’s schedule. Whatever the
guest requires, an elite team of specialists can provide treatments to
relax or energise, train, beautify or groom every day of the year.
Located in the heart of Knightsbridge, London, the Sheraton Park Tower
is just moments from Hyde Park and some of the finest shops in the world
such as Harrods and Harvey Nichols, with the designer shops of Sloane
Street only a few minutes walk away.
