Introduced in May of 2004, the Aerial Trek Zip Line at Jaguar Paw Jungle Resort takes visitors on an exhilarating trip through the dense tropical rainforest canopy. Secured by a harness with feet dangling free, zip line riders will traverse from one suspended platform to next, whizzing past a stunning display of tropical flora and fauna, exotic birds and even black howler monkeys.

To finish the Aerial Trek, daring participants will repel to the rainforest floor from the final platform for a thrilling one-of-a-kind jungle adventure.

The Aerial Trek has been accredited by the Association of Challenge Course Technology, which awarded it an “excellent” safety rating. Each day, twenty licensed and trained guides are available to take hotel guests and walk-ins on this unique experience.

The zip trail includes eight platforms, complete with handrails and a double-cable zip line for added safety. Suspended approximately 70 to 80 feet from the ground, each landing platform is six feet in diameter and the platforms are set from 100 to 245 feet apart, allowing the zip line adventure to cover a lot of ground.

The Jaguar Paw Jungle Resort is situated on the Caves Branch River,
offering spectacular views on this 200-acre property. In addition to the lush forests teeming with more than 500 species of bird, the property is home to three caves, each alive with its own unique Maya past.

Caving and cave tubing are popular activities here, allowing visitors to explore the ancient underworld where the Maya performed many sacred rituals. The Maya civilization can also be seen on tours to the local Maya sites of Xanantunich and Cahal Pech.
