Fairmont Makes Agents FAmous

  Fairmont Hotels & Resorts announces the creation of Fairmont FAmous, an educational tool developed to enhance the travel agent communities’ knowledge of the luxury hotel company, while also rewarding them for their support. Designed around Fairmont’s “FA” chain code, Fairmont FAmous teaches agents through a series of online lessons at and offers incentives such as complimentary room nights and sweepstakes prizes.Ê “We wanted to create a program that would educate travel professionals about the unique attributes of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, as well as continue to show them how valuable they are to our company,” says Suzanne McIntosh, executive director, business travel for Fairmont. “With the Fairmont Famous program agents will be given knowledge above and beyond the basics to help sell Fairmont experiences, which will increase their commissions as well as provide them with in depth product knowledge to better service their clients.”

Becoming a Fairmont FAmous agent is easy; travel professionals are guided by character “FAye Getaway” through a series of three online lessons, followed by a 22-question exam.Ê After passing the exam, agents receive their Fairmont FAmous status including a diploma and benefits such as:
