Turks and Caicos is getting ready for a US$85 million five-star resort named The Palms which will debut in January 2005. The luxury resorts managing director is William Anderson formerly of London’s Lanesborough Hotel and more recently Antigua’s Jumby Bay resort.The resort will comprise of 72 two- and three-bedroom suites featuring vaulted ceilings, marble floors, ocean-view terraces, four-poster beds, flat-screen TVs and CD and DVD players.

There will also be a spa. Rates start at roughly £410 per night.
