Bougainvillea Beach Resort and Sand Acres Hotel are embarking on a new venture, with Sand Acres being incorporated into Bougainvillea for Winter 2004/2005. This will set a new standard in Barbados for the 4 star hotel market.
The new and improved Bougainvillea Beach Resort will offer 138 all-suite rooms with enhanced facilities for its guests, who will benefit from the use of three swimming pools, 2 separate beaches - one long stretch of pristine white sandy beach, the other a restful shady one, two restaurants and bars, a health and fitness room and a whole host of other amenities.

Refurbishments at Sand Acres Hotel, completed in November 2003, have transformed the façade of the hotel by incorporating some of the architectural features of Bougainvillea. The front of Sand Acres now has a lush coconut grove with colourful flowers and hammocks where its parking lot was located.

Sales & Marketing Manager, Sharon Hugh-White says “the refurbishment has provided us with a much improved and enhanced product to offer our guests.” Guests staying at what will become the new wing of the Bougainvillea property will have a choice of Studios or One Bedroom Suites.

Queen size sofa beds and air-conditioning have been added to the living areas of the one-bedroom suites - making all suites fully air-conditioned. All kitchens and bathrooms facilities have been remodeled and soft furnishings upgraded. Special attention was been paid to ensure that the spaciousness and functionality of the rooms was maintained.
