easyjet Launches Two New Routes

Today easyJet
has launched two NEW routes from Nottingham East Midlands Airport to Cologne and Rome.
Celebrations for the launches will take place at the airport and will be hosted by Emma Curwood easyJet Marketing Manager for the region who will be joined by Graham Keddie, Managing Director of Nottingham East Midlands Airport.Ê Passengers traveling on the inaugural flights will be welcomed at check in and offered themed food and drink reminiscent to the cities.Ê


The daily services to Cologne and Rome, with one-way fares from £17.99 and £22.99 respectively went on sale in April and there has been an outstanding response to these new routes with almost 30,000 passengers booked so far.Ê The city of Cologne, founded by the Romans in 50 AD, is Germany’s 4th largest city, with a population of one million it’s Cathedral is renound for its ancient Roman relics, and built in the spectacular valley of the Rhine river.Ê Rome is one of the world’s greatest cities, with over 2000 years’ worth of sites and attractions in the Italian capital, the 1st century Colosseum, to 18th century Trevi fountain are spectacular.

easyJet have 3 Aircraft based at Nottingham East Midlands Airport and operate 9 routes to 6 countries across Europe.Ê This Summer easyJet’s capacity is almost 80% greater than our first summer’s operation just two years ago.
