Cosmopolitan Enters the Spa Market

The leading consumer magazine, Cosmopolitan, has opened new concept bars and beauty spas, Cosmopolitan Spirit, in England and Wales.

Branded Leisure PLC has linked with Cosmopolitan magazine by way of a brand extension in what looks set to make a major impact in the High Street. Currently a market leader in its field, Cosmopolitan is a high-profile publication with a readership of approximately 1.5 million in the UK alone.

The new lifestyle venues in Manchester and Cardiff are located in dramatic glass-fronted buildings to provide a stress-free environment away from hectic central-city life under one roof.
In order to offer indulgent beauty treatments and the latest therapies, exclusive to the UK, Cosmopolitan Spirit has employed experienced therapists trained by leading manufacturers. Treatments utilise the latest technologies such as skin UV cameras, hot and cold stone aromatherapy treatments and American body wraps, alongside facials and a full range of beauty treatments.

Cosmopolitan beauty director Alessandra Steinherr, says, “Even if you can`t get to a yoga class or drink ten glasses of water a day, you can get that relaxed feeling, simply by letting yourself be pampered. You don`t have to live the Green-tea life to look and feel blissed out.”

In addition to the Beauty Spa, Cosmopolitan Spirit offers a licensed bar, takeaway, restaurant, coffee bar and juice bar. Food on the move comes in the form of colour coded sandwiches and wraps which identify whether food is indulgent, balanced, created for vitality, vegetarian or gluten and wheat free.
