Rotana Hotel Management Corporation has appointed Craig Bruce to the role of general manager at the multiple award-winning city resort Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi.

In this position, he will be responsible for overseeing the 879-unit luxury complex, managing its large operation and maintaining the unparalleled service and quality the hotel and its 14 restaurants are known for.

Bruce joined Rotana’s flagship property from his previous post as cluster general manager of Yas Island Rotana, Centro Yas Island and Hala Arjaan by Rotana.

Originally from South Africa, he holds more than two decades of experience in the hotel industry.
Bruce moved to Abu Dhabi in 2009 to manage the Park Inn & Radisson Blu Hotel Yas Island followed by the Grand Millennium Al Wahda, before joining Rotana in 2016.

“I’m very excited to take the helm of this iconic property.

“Together with its highly motivated and competent team, I’m determined to further drive the success of this landmark,” said Bruce.

“The hotel celebrated its 25th anniversary last year, successfully opened Al Shorfa Lounge, a trendy outdoor shisha place, as well as the striking Beach Rotana Residences with 314 apartments.

“This latest addition makes Beach Rotana unique in terms of size, location and facilities – and ideal for MICE business alongside the traditional leisure market.

“We are also thrilled that the construction in front of the hotel and Abu Dhabi Mall was finalised as scheduled before Ramadan.

“We can now welcome our guests for Iftar and Suhoor with a new driveway, in addition to a new direct access from the main road to Finz and our other restaurants.”
