bmi regional expands codeshare deal with Brussels Airlines

bmi regional has added seven new routes to its network thanks to an agreement extending the carrier’s codeshare partnership with Brussels Airlines.

Routes from the Great Britain, Northern Ireland and France will go on sale via bmi regional’s website and call centre from today.
bmi regional travellers will now be able to book onto flights operated by Brussels Airlines from London Heathrow, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Belfast and Nantes in Northern France to the Belgian capital.

This move further strengthens relationship between bmi regional, and Brussels Airlines, who first agreed codeshares on two routes to Brussels in 2014, from East Midlands and Newcastle.

bmi regional clients travelling on Brussels Airlines have the choice between three different Brussels Airlines travel solutions: bizz&class, flex&fast and light&relax.

Jochen Schnadt, chief commercial office for bmi regional, commented: “The extension of our codeshare agreement with Brussels Airlines means that our passengers now have a range of new routes into Brussels.

“We are delighted to build on our existing collaboration, supporting both the airline and Belgium in accessing a new audience in the UK and beyond.

“Brussels Airlines and bmi regional share similar values, we are business powered, full-service airlines who put great store by customer convenience and delivering a quality experience.”

Brussels Airlines has a fleet of 50 aircraft flying to 92 European, African and North American destinations, operating about 300 flights a day, meaning there are huge opportunities for onward connections for bmi regional customers.
