Barbados Tourism Authority brings sunshine to UK
It’s a well known the moment Brits notice a few rays, they do everything in their power to make the most of it.
Whether it’s donning flip flops, struggling into shorts or dusting the cobwebs off the BBQ, it’s so seldom Brits see the sun that they really don’t want to miss a moment when it does show its face.
This summer, the Barbados Tourism Authority in association with Capital FM are bringing some Bajan warmth and sun to the country – so whatever the weather, Brits will be able to learn from the masters and find out what it takes to really get down and have a great time.
Until July 26th 2014, the Barbados Summertastic coach (once an F1 racing hospitality coach) will be visiting towns across the country and spreading the sunshine.
But this isn’t any ordinary coach – it is in fact a fully converted mobile radio and TV studio and that’s where the great British public come in!
The party kicked off in London’s very own Canary Wharf, and during the road trip will visit the UK’s biggest cities including Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff and Sheffield.
The tour will reach its grand final resting place in Buchanan Street, Glasgow, during the Commonwealth Games on 26th July.
During this mega trip, stations across the Capital FM network will be highlighting what’s going on in UK cities and will announce activity throughout the day via on-air talk ups and home page takeovers.
Capital breakfast show presenters will also be at each event encouraging punters to board the Barbados TV studio tour coach and film a piece to camera - telling everyone why they want to go Barbados.
It’ll be well worth taking out time to climb aboard, as the winning entry (with the most persuasive reason) will win a holiday to the gem of the Caribbean, with four of their friends.
