UK travel rewards programme Avios and American Express have formed a new partnership enabling members to collect points when exchanging foreign currency at all Express Exchange airport bureaux in the UK and Moneycorp London Gatwick airport locations.

Avios members can make their money work harder for them, earning one Avios for every £1 exchanged when currency is ordered online or at the airport.

There will also be competitive exchange rates and zero per cent commission on over 50 currencies available to order online.

Major currencies with a maximum value of £2,500 can be ordered online up to four hours before airport collection or foreign currency purchases can be made simply by visiting any American Express Currency Exchange Bureaux in the airport

Members can collect Avios through their everyday spending and use them to get return flights with BA or Iberia to destinations including Paris and Venice.

Members who collect Avois are also eligible for the Reward Flight Saver, meaning taxes, fees and charges which could cost over £100 can be covered with a fixed fare of £27 pp return for an economy seat (plus the required Avios).
