Airangel doubles turnover, appoints new MD

WiFi provider Airangel has appointed former sales director Dean Wilkinson as managing director, after he doubled the company’s turnover to £1.4m in the last year.

The appointment comes as Warrington-based Airangel, which specialises in branded wired and wireless guest internet access for the hospitality and conferencing industries, reports a 130 per cent* increase in internet connections, with more than 6,650,000 hours* of internet time enabled.

In the same period, Airangel has branched into new sectors including sports stadia, working with Sale Sharks and MK Dons, car showrooms and yacht clubs.

It has also welcomed a host of new clients including Hampton by Hilton, Principal Haley and Holiday Inn Express hotels as well as conference centres such as Manchester Central.

Dean Wilkinson said: “We’re part of a mobile age and the internet is a daily part of our lives, so much so that guest internet access is an essential component for many businesses, whether it’s allowing staff to hot desk or giving hotel guests access to online services.
