From August 12 to 23, Universiade – also known as the World University Games – will take place in the southern Chinese border city of Shenzhen. Set to host the opening ceremony and table tennis event, the structure cost US$304M to build, and houses a gymnasium, a stadium, a swimming pool, shops, and a variety of public spaces.
