Second Annual Green Spa Network Fall Congress

Second Annual Green Spa Network Fall Congress

The Second Annual Green Spa Network Fall Congress will be held November 1st -5th, 2009 at beautiful, historic Rancho La Puerta in Tecate, Mexico.  As the premier spa sustainability event of the year, the four-night, five-day GSN Fall Congress will provide professionals with the opportunity to respond to the planetary imperative for sustainability ? while increasing profitability and customer loyalty.

Internationally known keynote speaker will be Paul Hawken, a leading voice in the world of sustainable business and the search for a whole, nurturing society. He is co-founder of Smith & Hawken and author of Natural Capitalism: Creating the Next Industrial Revolution, which has been referred to by several heads of state as one of the five most important books in the world today.

?GSN members will have an exceptional opportunity for personal renewal while participating in shaping the next chapter of our growing Green Spa Network,? says founding member and Board Chair, Michael Stusser.

Attendees will be the first to benefit from valuable, leading-edge tools and resources to make their spas successful and sustainable. Participants will see how green initiatives:

*Conserve resources

*Raise staff morale

*Generate untapped marketing opportunities

*Position their spas to enhance their role as responsible guardians of human and planetary wellbeing

As participants in a productive gathering of the most highly-regarded, pioneering members of the North American
sustainable spa movement, congress attendees will have the opportunity to:

* Learn how 16,000 ?brick and mortar? spa businesses already peopled with well intentioned healers can morph into places that equip people to make the transition to the post-carbon era.
*Shift the roles spas can play in facilitating not only personal, but community and global transformation.
* Move the spa consumer from a lifestyle of mere consumerism, to a LOHAS lifestyle (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability) that embraces conscious, meaningful purchases based on planetary wellness.

Multiple networking opportunities with like-minded professionals will promote the exchange of information, sustainability tips, and other aspects of maintaining a viable green business.

Cost for the five-day congress including all meals, lodging, use of all Rancho La Puerta facilitation and participation in any classes, conference fees, transportation from San Diego airport and a 50-minute relaxation massage is $1,200.  This price reflects a very generous discount from Rancho La Puerta’s already reasonable rates.  More details and registration are available at http://www.GreenSpaNetwork.org If yo.u are not already a GSN member, you can easily become one by clicking ?Join Us? on the home page.
