From July 1 to August 15, Silvercar is giving away a limited number of free two-day rentals of their silver Audi A4s to Virgin America Elevate® members flying into Dallas, Fort Worth and Austin. The app-based car rental company announced their partnership with Virgin America in May. Singapore Airlines signs codeshare with Virgin America
From December 19th, Singapore Airlines customers will be able to enjoy seamless travel to more cities in the United States through a codeshare agreement with Virgin America. Under the agreement, SIA will add its ‘SQ’ code to Virgin America-operated flights serving Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Palm Springs, Philadelphia, Portland, San Diego, Seattle and Washington DC, from the SIA West Coast gateway points of Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Virgin Atlantic launches Passbook functionality
Virgin Atlantic has confirmed it is the first UK based airline to integrate Passbook into its mobile boarding cards, allowing passengers a paperless journey through the airport with their iPhone or iPod touch. During the online check-in process, passengers will now have the added option of sending their boarding card directly to Passbook on their iPhone or iPod touch enabling them to by-pass check-in kiosks and heading straight to security or via baggage drop if carrying luggage.
