United Expands Winter Schedule and Adds Flights to Cities Like Fort Lauderdale, Orlando & Las Vegas
United today expanded its winter schedule, adding flights to 15 cities including Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and Las Vegas. These new flights start January 6 and include: One additional daily roundtrip flight between: Houston and Orlando, Las Vegas, New Orleans, Atlanta, Baltimore and Miami Chicago and Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, New Orleans and Las Vegas Newark/New York and Orlando and Fort Lauderdale Los Angeles and Las Vegas Two new routes between Newark/New York and Columbia, South Carolina and Chattanooga, Tenn. Three new weekly flights between Houston and Guatemala City, Guatemala and San Salvador, El Salvador, and one new weekly flight between Houston and San Pedro Sula, Honduras

Air to Jet Fuel: United Announces Investment in Power-to-Liquid Fuels Company Twelve
United today announced an investment in Twelve, an innovative low carbon fuels company that uses a process similar to photosynthesis to transform CO2 and water into sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) using renewable energy. This investment by the United Airlines Ventures Sustainable Flight Fund follows Twelve’s $83 million Series C funding round and project financing for its first SAF production facility, AirPlant™ One, located in Moses Lake, Washington. The facility is expected to begin production this year and plans to produce 50,000 gallons of SAF annually.
United Invests in Next Generation Blended Wing Aircraft Start-Up JetZero
United today announced an investment in blended wing body (BWB) aircraft start-up JetZero. The company is creating an aircraft design that has the potential to deliver jet fuel efficiency and a greatly enhanced customer experience. The investment includes a path to order up to 100 airplanes and an option for an additional 100. The conditional purchase agreement is based on JetZero achieving development milestones, including flight of a full-scale demonstrator in 2027, among other conditions, including that the aircraft meet United’s safety, business and operating requirements.
United Continues Growth at San Francisco International Airport
United recently announced it will add 20 percent more flying out of San Francisco International Airport (SFO) in 2025, reflecting its long-term strategy to re-establish SFO as a global gateway. United is now larger in SFO than it was pre-pandemic, with capacity1 up six percent since 2019, and 20 percent versus last year.
