Air Canada and the Portuguese authorities, as well as representatives from the tourism and business sectors, today celebrated the launch of a new direct summer service starting from 12 June between Ponta Delgada’s João Paulo II Airport (PDL) and Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ), enhancing connectivity between the Azores and Canada. The event took place at the João Paulo II Airport in Azores. The new service will operate three times per week throughout the summer season, offering customers a convenient direct connection between Ponta Delgada and Toronto in just over six hours. Flights will depart Ponta Delgada every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, with return services from Toronto on Tuesdays, and Thursdays, and Saturdays.
