Ryanair, Europe’s No. 1 airline, has celebrated carrying 30 million passengers through Prestwick in its 30 years of operations. Ryanair was the first low-cost airline to operate at Prestwick, starting with its first flight from Dublin Airport back in 1994. Ryanair now operates 10 routes to/from Prestwick, connecting 3 countries across Europe with its 2 Prestwick based aircraft – an investment of $200m and supporting over 500 local jobs, including 60 high-paid, high-skilled aviation jobs.

Wizz Air, the most environmentally sustainable airline globally* , recently welcomed its 132 Airbus A321neo aircraft in a special anniversary livery during a delivery ceremony at the Airbus factory in Hamburg. The new aircraft with tail number 9H-WNM will join the Wizz Air Malta fleet operating across nearly 200 destinations. The unique livery was designed by Éva Kerényi, the winner of the design competition Wizz Air ran last year, encouraging talent from across the world to create a livery for one of its Airbus A321neo aircraft.
