Starting on March 28th, SunExpress will launch three weekly flights between London Gatwick and Antalya, offering passengers an ideal destination for the Easter holiday period.
SunExpress will launch a direct flight between Manchester Airport and Antalya in Turkey on March 26th. The route will be served twice per week before going up to four times a week from May 30th.
Turkish sister airline SunExpress will continue to operate its own routes, with a fleet that consists of over 40 Boeing 737-800. The decision will cost around 1,200 jobs.
Jaan Albrecht, who has been the chief executive of Austrian Airlines since November 2011, has accepted a position at SunExpress, a joint venture of Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines. He will serve as chief executive of the airline, starting on June 1st, 2015. The decision was taken at the supervisory board meeting of SunExpress earlier.
