A Sudanese conglomerate DAL Group and Emirati Air Arabia form a joint venture to launch a new low-cost airline in Sudan. The new air carrier will be called Air Arabia Sudan.
The airline already flies to Cairo in Egypt and Nairobi in Kenya, as well as Zanzibar and Dar Es Salaam in Tanzania, and recently launched its four times weekly service to Casablanca in Morocco.
UNWTO secretary general, Taleb Rifai, has expressed the commitment of the World Tourism Organisation to support Sudan’s tourism development during his recent official visit to Sudan. The visit coincided with a three-day regional executive training on crisis communication in tourism organised by UNWTO and the UNWTO Themis Foundation.
