Work begins on £2.7bn Shanghai Disneyland

Walt Disney has broken ground on its Shanghai Disneyland theme park, an eight square mile resort that will cost £2.7 billion and take five years to build. The development, which has been a decade in the planning, is a joint venture with Shanghai government, and comes as part of a broader Disney strategy to develop expand its business in China and target the country’s 330 million children.

Ltd to manage VENU HIMALAYAS Hotel Shanghai. The new contemporary lifestyle hotel in the heart of Pudong district of Shanghai is scheduled to open in 2011.
