Sandals plans to enter the corporate market for the first time with Sandals City. The hotel will be built in Kingston, and marks a departure from the group’s traditional all-inclusive leisure concept. Sandals chairman Butch Stewart told the newspaper that Sandals City will have conference and banquet rooms, plus a spa, racquetball, tennis courts and a gym.

Sandals Resorts International has announced the purchase of the recently-closed Four Seasons Resort Great Exuma at Emerald Bay for an undisclosed sum. The property is the fourteenth Sandals Resort in the Caribbean, and its third in the Bahamas.

This spring, Sandals Resorts will once again embark on a multi-city U.S. tour to host a Travel Agent Workshop Series providing area agents with an overview of the resort company’s latest news.
