Sandals Resorts International, parent company of Sandals Resorts, Beaches Resorts and Grand Pineapple Beach Resorts, has announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the government of Antigua that will see the building of a brand new Beaches Resort in the Eastern Caribbean country. Beaches Antigua, which will be built on the site of the company’s existing Grand Pineapple Resort in Long Bay will boast one to four bedroom rooms and suites, up to 12 restaurants, conferencing facilities and a wide range of exhilarating and unique features that include a waterpark, cinema, Xbox Play Lounge and BMX track.

Sandals Resorts International has today applauded the government of Barbados following the announcement of a deal which will result in opening of two resorts in the country. Sandals and the government of Barbados reached the agreement following months of negotiations that will see the Caribbean’s leading resort company open the former Couples Resort in St Lawrence as a Sandals Resort as well as managing a new Beaches Resort set to be built on the site of the former Almond Beach Resort in St Peter.

Sandals Royal Bahamian Spa Resort & Offshore Island in Nassau, Bahamas has begun a multi-million dollar renovation of the resort’s Windsor building. Scheduled to be completed in January 2014, each of the building’s 174 luxurious Junior Suites will undergo complete refurbishment including the installation of new bathrooms that will feature Carrera marble and glass mosaics as well as magnificent new showers or deep tubs.
