Ryanair rolls out digital marketing campaign
Low-cost carrier Ryanair has unveiled a new website and digital marketing strategy which includes the use of social media for the first time. As part of these latest developments, the @Ryanair Twitter page has been unveiled and a mobile app will be downloadable for free from Tuesday October 1st.
Ryanair outlines ambitious plans for Stansted Airport
Ryanair and Manchester Airport Group have announced they have concluded a ten year growth agreement at London Stansted Airport. The parties hope the deal will see Ryanair grow its traffic at Stansted by over 50 per cent, from 13.2 million passengers in 2012 to over 20 million passengers per annum in return for a package of lower costs and more efficient facilities at Stansted.
Ryanair forced to sell Aer Lingus stake
Ryanair will be required to sell its 29.8 per cent stake in Aer Lingus Group following a decision by the Competition Commission in the UK. The Irish low-cost carrier will be forced to sell its stake down to five per cent.

Ryanair adds 5 more Ireland-UK Routes
Ryanair, the UK’s largest airline, today announced that it would add additional daily frequencies from October on its five main Ireland-UK routes in a direct response to similar flight increases recently announced by Aer Lingus for the 2013-14 winter schedule. Aer Lingus’ decision to increase flight frequencies on these UK routes further undermines the discredited UKCC investigation into Ryanair’s 6 ½ year old minority (29%) stake in Aer Lingus.
Profits slip at Ryanair as fuel costs rise
Low-cost carrier Ryanair has seen profits fall as the price of fuel eats into margins. Profits after tax fell 21 per cent to €78 million in the first quarter of the financial year, despite a five per cent rise in revenues.

IATA statistics have confirmed Ryanair carried more international passengers than any other airline last year. The Irish low-cost carrier welcomed 79.6 million international passengers on to its flights last year, almost 29 million more than second-placed Lufthansa (50.8 million) and 35 million more than third-placed easyJet (44.6 million).
Ryanair adds three Comiso routes
Low cost carrier Ryanair has added three new routes at Italian airport Comiso to/from Brussels Charleroi, London Stansted and Rome from August 2013, which will deliver over 150,000 passengers with 10 weekly flights.
