Edwards to lead Qatar Executive
Qatar Airways has appointed David Edwards as executive vice president to lead the growing business of its corporate jet arm, Qatar Executive. Qatar Airways chief executive Akbar Al Baker said: “David brings to Qatar Executive a wealth of experience in the business aviation industry and will be instrumental in steering its operations to a new level.”
Qatar Airways adds flights to Edinburgh
Qatar Airways will begin flights to the Scottish capital of Edinburgh effective 28 May 2014, operating five flights weekly. The new route will be served by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner in a two-cabin configuration, offering passengers 22 Business Class and 232 Economy Class seats.
Rolls-Royce takes $300m deal in Middle East
Rolls-Royce has won a $300m order from Qatar Airways for Trent 700 engines, with long-term TotalCare support, to power five Airbus A330 freighter aircraft. The order for five Airbus A330 Freighters and eight options was announced earlier.

Qatar Airways to offer new United Arab Emirates flights
Qatar Airways has announced the addition of Sharjah and Dubai World Central as its newest routes to the United Arab Emirates - with 14 flights per week to each destination. Beginning the March 1st 2014, the airline will operate twice daily to Sharjah International Airport and twice daily to Dubai World Central - Al Maktoum International Airport from its hub in Doha.

Qatar Airways has announced Miami to be its sixth destination to the US beginning June 10th, 2014. The airline will offer non-stop flights from its hub in Doha four-times per week aboard a Boeing 777.
